bnk@csd4.csd.uwm.edu (Bob N Keenan) (08/05/90)

A couple days ago I saw a reference to (I think) an anon. FTP site
that had a program to convert .gifs to .bmp. I have since lost this
info. and would much appreciate info. on how to obtain this kind of
thing. Thanks........

I have been trying to use this program with about 50% success.
I seems to work fine on most "commercial" gifs, but gifs
that I have converted (using Hijaak) from an Apple scanner
end up looking like the horizontal sync is misajusted
when set for a Windows background. Also, color gifs
captured with my Computer Eyes capture board end up
looking like a freaked out inverted image. All these
gifs look fine using the standard gif viewers and things
	like Piclab.
