I just got the ComputerEyes color video capture board, and am having problems with the palette in converting to .bmp. If I capture in any of the 256 color modes, all is ok with a 256 color Paradise video driver. However, with the standard VGA windows driver, and capturing in 16 color mode, the palettes are competely whacko. I save in .gif format, and vpic, picem, vgaimg all show the proper colors. However, using gif2bmp, or saving in .pcx and reading in with pbrush, the colors are all way off, and the resulting pictures seem to lack the resolution that the other viewers can display. It seems pbrush can't change the palette of the current picture, just edit new colors. Any idea on how to have windows change its palette? -randy -- Randy Suess randy@chinet.chi.il.us
