As a followup to my own post of some days back regarding MS-Net derived
networks and difficulties with Win 3.0:
We have a fair number of Unisys MS-Net derived networks, which have had
terrible troubles with Win 3.0, these are the workarounds and problems
encountered thus far:
I. Win 3.0 startup gorks server :-( -> Run in STANDARD (or real) mode
II. Printing from Win Apps to LAN works BUT print jobs are not printed
until user exits from Windows (not just app). Other DOS apps have
this same trouble (about 30% have same prob. others do not)
Our workaround to this was to write a printer daemon for the LAN
server, and have the "print to a file" option in the win.ini set
to a network drive and file. (Have only test with HP/IBM4119 ptrs).
Anyone desiring details feel free to call or email.
