I just came back from the Windows conference in Boston and was very disappointed. The organizers appeared to have wildly underestimate how many people would show. To their credit, by the second day room size was adjusted. - Most talks were business-oriented rather than how tos. (Little on OS/2 and little on programming). Some repetition and overlap was present in topics. - The exhibit was small (135 exhibitors which is 4 long aisles) but had some interesting Windows applications and development tools. - The BCS tutorials were quite goosd. I went to setting up DLLs for databases and the Clipboard/DDE for Data Exchange. The topics covered in San Jose looked more interesting. On Toolbook, look's it will only be bundled until 3.0 (at the moment). No attempt will be made to upgrade the runtime versions when the next release (which runs much faster) comes out.
