A Windows 3 user on campus would like to be able to enter French characters from the keyboard of her PC. We have tried to use the French keyboard setting in the control panel, but this remaps the keyboard completely to that of a French keyboard. What we want to be able to do is to change a few keys of the standard US keyboard definition file, so that '[' will produce an e with a cravatte etc. So, does anyone either know the format of Windows 3 keyboard mapping files or know where such information can be attained from. Local Microsoft Tech support has been as useful as a wet paper bag over this question so I now thorow it over to the net. Until Windows 3 this user had been using a keyboard modifying TSR. Windows 3 overrides this - maybe there is some setting in the WIN.INI file that forces Windows to use the keyboard like any other DOS application? Any help, pointers or tips will be greatfully accepted. Christian Legg
