[comp.windows.ms] How does Win3 choose screen fonts?

alu@cbnewsk.att.com (Alan Lustiger) (08/21/90)

Screen fonts do not always correspond with the correct printer font,
especially when using out-of-the-ordinary point sizes. Normally I
wouldn't mind, but since I have installed some screen fonts of
different (non-Roman) alphabets, I often get unreadable gibberish
when Windows decides to substitute Hebrew characters for English.
Is there any way I can restrict the fonts shown, or categorize them
by language so that substitution can occur a little more intelligently?

Thanks in advance.
