[comp.windows.ms] Side effect of minimizing

kevin@msa3b.UUCP (Kevin P. Kleinfelter) (08/24/90)

Minimizing and then restoring a window seems to have an unpleasant side-effect.
On a screen with a text field (control), minimizing and then restoring the
window seems to "select" the contents of the text field. In other words,
I have a text field which is NOT inverse video when I minimize the window,
but IS inverse video after I double-click on the icon.

Questions:

1. How do I make it stop selecting my text?

2. What signal can I receive to tell that my window had been de-iconized?

3. How can I select/deselect text in a field (i.e. from my program, how do
I simulate mouseclick-swipe-over-text-release-mouse and undoing this)?
