In most X-Windows window managers, the "active" window is whichever one the mouse is currently in. You don't have to click on the window to move the focus. This also has the advantage that you can work in a partially obscured window, and don't always have to bring things to the foreground. I was wondering if anybody had written a program which would make Windows 3.0 act the same way. It seems like you could simply intercept all keyboard events and chain them to the window which the pointer is currently in. Has anyone tried this or seen anything like it? -- Jim Seidman (Drax), the accidental engineer. UUCP: ames!vsi1!headland!jls ARPA: jls%headland.UUCP@ames.nasa.arc.gov
