I have a DEST PC Scan 1000 and it worked with different programs like DEST Publish Pac V2.0, DEST Text Pac V2.3, PC-Paintbrush+ V1.20, ... Now I have changed to DOS Version 4.0 and Windows Version 3 and all these programmes do not work for different reasons. Either they require Windows Version 1 (yes, ONE) which will not run under DOS 4.0, or they make problems when I try to run them under the control of Windows 3 etc. In addition I was told, that the DEST-company does not exist anymore. I got the advice to throw the scanner away and buy a new one and new software and ... Has anybody a better solution for my problem which does not require to throw a fully functioning scanner away? Does anybody know whether this scanner is compatible to another scanner, which has support? Is any software for this scanner available which will run under DOS 4.0 and Windows 3? -- Werner Icking icking@gmdzi.gmd.de (+49 2241) 14-2443 Gesellschaft fuer Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung mbH (GMD) Schloss Birlinghoven, P.O.Box 1240, D-5205 Sankt Augustin 1, FRGermany

I'm not sure of the address but you can call information (are code 408). Just be sure to spell it to them as I have found the info operators to not have a sense of humor. Ed ekalenda@cup.portal.com
