Say, I've got a request for all of you Windows 3 hackers out there...
Has anyone written a shareware utility to measure system performance
under Windows 3.0 ? The type of thing that I am thinking of is something
similar to the load average on a UNIX machine. It would be very helpful
to have a iconized program that displays some type of index of cpu
performance, and correspondingly changes when you run more and more
applications or utilities.....

Unix machines, being a full multitasking OS kepp the information needed in the kernel. DOS has no such facility, so it could be difficult to make something on the DOS level. Perhaps monitoring the windows message activity or something. There was a program written for 2.11 that did something similar, I forget the name. It would not be as accurate or comprehensive as a utility on Unix.
