[] I would like to restate my previous stand on the use of a by-pass oil filter system. I think that having clean oil is more important than having super slippery oil. What brings this up again is an ad in the latest issue of AUTOWEEK for a company called ENCON Systems, Ltd. that sells a system called SYSTEM II oil filter system. It consists of a new spin on efficient full flow filter that filters out particles down to 10 microns and a by-pass filter that has to be mounted somewhere that filters out particles down to 5 microns. They claim that gums, varnishes, lacquers and trace moisture are also filtered and absorbed. Having used a similar system on a car for over 60,000 miles, I can attest to how well they work. If anyone wants their address, drop me mail. I don't know anything about the company and don't want to give the impression that they are an established company (may or may not be true). The complete system with all fittings and lines costs $89.15 plus $3.50 shipping. They will send literature free. Hope this helps...
