A friend of mine has a 1980 Datsun 310. At ~ 60,000 mi., he lost a tooth on 1st gear. Boy, those suckers are expansive, like > $100/gear! But any rate, he had it repaired. Now, 20,000 mi. latter, he's got the same problem. He's not exactly easy on the car, but still, 20,000 mi. seems awfully quick to go through a trani. Has anyone heard of similar problems with this type of car? Mark F.
