how inteligent is the windows scheduler? does every application get a full time slice reguardless of whether or not it is actually doing anything. are window refreshes part of the applications responsibility or are they performed by the windows enviornment. can windows applications tell the scheduler that they are inactive so that windows doesn't wast a whole timeslice on idle processes? is there any way to better configure the system than the defualt configuration in the control panels 386 box? am i dreaming of windows 3.1, 3.2 or 4.0? -- respectfully yours, Gregory D.
