Actually, I was going to send the medics to stand by while you read
news, but I couldn't find the phone number.  I was afraid you would
have a heart attack because of that post.  :-)

Ditto for UUPC/extended, send the help desk a question and it gets
answered.  Usually.

I checked UUIO 1.08a under Windows in 386 mode yesterday; it ran, but
because it doesn't actually surrender the CPU when waiting for work,
overall performance sufffered. I ran it at priority 500 on a PS/2 Model
70 with reversi (Othello) in foreground as the "other" application.
Also, a COMMAND.COM I had up full-screen at the same time bombed for no
special reason with a "Memory Allocation Failure", which implies UUIO
took a walk on the wild side.  Oh, well.
