[comp.windows.ms] QEMM 5.1 and Windows 3 may crash

thorh@tekgvs.LABS.TEK.COM (Thor Hallen) (09/18/90)

The new release of Quarterdeck's QEMM memory manager will allow loading
TSR's and drivers in high DOS memory ( >640K ) and still allow you to run
in 386 enhanced mode. There is a major bug showing up in about half the
installations though. Some systems will crash after exiting windows back
to DOS causing corrupted files. This problem can be prevented by using the
NOSORT or NS option on the QEMM386.SYS installation line. This problem
is not discussed in the QEMM documentation.
