[comp.windows.ms] SDK README and Windows.h

jssk@cbnewsl.att.com (jeffrey.s.skelton) (09/20/90)

I had a pre-release version of the SDK and it apparently is missing
some definitions in the windows.h header and the "released" readme
files. Could somebody send these to me?

As usual, make me an offer and I'll let the "closest" person know
who they are so I'm not bombarded with thousands of these.

And, thanks in advance...

If you have a "pre-release" version, then what you are asking is clearly
"illegal". May I suggest anybody thinking about mailing such "copyrighted"
software as windows.h to read their licensing agreements. BTW, your
postmaster will be informed that you are using ATT machines for illegal
activities. Take care :-)

Point well taken. Actually all I'm interested in is the values of the
WM_DROPOBJECT, etc messages used for communication between the Program
Manager and File Manager (the undocumented ones discussed in the trash can
thread). They were defined in the earlier pre-releases and then disappeared
in the final pre-release. I found the earlier windows.h, so the header is
not needed, but I still have an interest in the sections of the readme
that mention this.
