[anyone remember the space-eater?] How does one go about spawning new processes in Windows 3.0? Spawn and exec don't seem to be the way to go about it (being #ifdef'ed out of my libraries), and there seems to be something called WinExec, but I didn't find it in the SDK anywhere. I'd like to do something spiffy with SHELL=, but it might be a tad difficult if I can't spawn new processes. :-( AdvThanksance, Dave Long

I'd like to do something spiffy with SHELL=, Hi! The WinExec is a new function in Windows SDK version 3.0 . I suppose you have a version earlier than that. (You can use WinExec with Windows SDK version 2.0, though, if you IMPORT it in the program's .DEF file. It is imported as KERNEL.166, and it takes two parameters, LPSTR lpszCmdLine and int nCmdShow . A failure to load the program is indicated by a return value less than 32 . There's more info in the Programmer's Reference Guide for Windows SDK 3.0 Terveisin: Risto Lankinen -- Risto Lankinen / product specialist *************************************** Nokia Data Systems, Technology Dept * 2 2 * THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK * 2 -1 is PRIME!
