Talking about GENOA vga cards. I have gotten reports of bugs when useing windows 3.0 in 386 mode. The bug shows up in GENOA 5400 and 6400 cards when windows runs a program that changes the current vidio mode, and then exits back to windows. At that point either the system hangs or the screen image SHAKES. I have seen the bug myself useing a 6400 card at work, and two other people have also been hit by the bug. One person reports that going back to version 3 video bios rom seems to fix the bug on the 5400 vga cards.
