I have an Oak VGA plus card (, 512k a newly released,) being distributed with an extra VGA driver for windows 3.0 working in 800x600 resolution. The driver works 80% fine. I.e. I can start windows, run different win appls without any problems , of cause everything is miniaturized and the new desktop surface can show more lines and columns. The remaining 20% not working properly occur when I run some DOS-programs (via DOS-prompt or directly from program manager's RUN/OPEN). I can switch to DOS (implies switch to 640x480 resolution), the application runs too. But when I have to return to WIN the screen and/or the card does not switch mode to 800x600 - it simply loose the sync - I can only see colorred lines a and can heer high tones/noices. My screen is labeled as VGA, 800x600 and 1024x768, a cheep but nice-and-working Taiwan product 'Intra' with Philips CRT. Have any other user of Oak VGA Plus seen same problem? What is/may be wrong?
