Is any one out there successfully running a bbs under Windows 3.0? How did you
get windows to leave your Comport alone. Mine keeps requesting to use it
during calls. It freezes thebbs program until I come along and tell it to
leave the com port alone.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, did you fix it? How?
The whole thing has me stumped. I would appreciate any help I could get.

Did you try plaing around with the Control Panel, 386 Enhanced options?
You can change the COM port warnings, to Always Warn, Never Warn, or Idle.
Do uner the 386 Enhanced icon and use help, or check the manual for more
details. The only problem I know of in Windows dealing with COM ports is
that if you dial in with a terminal program, and exit the terminal program
without hanging up, Windows will drop DTR, hanging up the phone for you.
Now THERE's something I wish I could stop!
