Sorry if this is a reposting but I don't think the original
posting made it out.
I have a 1970 AAR Cuda for sale. This would be a great
project car. Only some 2700 were ever produced. Dan Gurney
talked Chrysler into making a car he could race straight
from the factory as production class. The AAR stands for All
American Rac[ers|ing], the name of his racing team at the
time. Hi-perf 340 six pack, rally suspension, fiberglass
hood, rear spoiler, and dual exhausts were factory stock.
The car has the original six pack and motor. It has a
standard transmission with the HURST pistol grip shifter and
the limited slip differential option. Unfortunately it
doesn't have the rally instruments. The following items are
non-stock:
cam and lifters
oilpump
headers and exhaust
wheels and tires ( I do have 2 of the original wheels
which will go with the car. )
carpet
I am the second owner and have had the car since '76. The
car is still in good mechanical shape. There is some
vibration in the driveline. The body is a little rough. It
is rusting in the typical Chrysler places. Both rear
quarters are through and the trunk pan is rusted through.
The windshield is cracked and the upholstery is tearing. It
has 115,000 miles and had a complete engine overhaul at
84,000.
I have NEVER been stranded by this car and have started it (
without a jump! ) with 30 weight oil at -20F. Since my
interests have changed to other things and I no longer need
the car for daily transportation I don't want to let it just
sit and fall apart. Asking $2500. Send mail or call
(312)820-1449.
