[comp.windows.ms] Need help for 2 problems

gae@computing-maths.cardiff.ac.uk (Geraint A Edwards) (10/11/90)

Hi, I posted (1) before but still need a reply, so...

I'm still writing for W/2.11 in MSC, so forget W/3.0 for now, please.

(1)
I have a sizebox child window. It works fine when
resizing etc, but I want to have a resize-arrow (a <-> twisted
45deg clockwise) on it (now it's the normal pointer).

I've considered using SetWindowWord or the like to change the
handle to the pointer but can't figure out the offset (?!).
What am I missing? Hasn't anyone got their own SB *with*correct*
*arrow* ?!

(2)
Also, I have a listbox with a lot of strings inside and can see it
filling up (it's on-screen all the time). I use WM_SETREDRAW to
turn it off, then fill the LB, then turn REDRAW back on, but the
LB doesn't show it's (new) contents. How do I force it to redraw?
Is there a bug here?

*Please* e-mail (solns & any ideas) & I'll summarise later if asked.

Thanks for any help,

Gedge
