Subject: Which classic sports car to buy? Given the recent interest in older sports cars, I thought I would pose a question to the group. A dream of mine, to own a classic sports car, has recently been rekindled. If I were to go out today to buy a classic sports car what type of car would be a good prospect? It would have to be one that is easy to work on, easy to get parts for, and isn't too expensive. Easy to work on because I'm a relative novice at this type of thing. Here's a hopefully list of possibilities. My personal favorite is the Lotus though it may not be the most feasible. Lotus Europa (John Player Special) Porsche 911 or 912 BMW 2002tii MG (any of the older models) Triumph Ferrari Aston-Martin Austin-Healey Cobra Corvette Mustang Shelby Anyone care to start a discussion on this topic? Please include anything else that you might think could possibly be of interest. Please respond to the following net address (if you can't get through to me by mail, please post your response to net.auto). I'll submit a summary of responses to both of the above groups.
