I just move my entire troff research document to winword. I have used it for 2 months and like it. But... I was messing with table of contents and changing from toc4 to toc1 to my own toc5. Then boom. I got a message....Failure on disk file write. Then another box came up when I hit ok and it had trash in the error message...I suspect an unitialized string. Then unrecoverable error and winword shut off!!!! I have a compaq 386/25e. I have had NO, I repeat NO problems with any apps on this machine and no problems with winword before this@#@#! What a drag! Another bug somewhere! IT CAN'T BE MY PROGRAM THIS TIME, I AM JUST DOING WORD PROCESSING ! HA! Has anyone had this problem? I am trying to reproduce it. It was the nastiest set of error messages I have seen in a windows app. in 4 years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now while I am at it, select help (F1) and search for the word "date"...then click on help adding to header and footer. The instructions show three icons I don't have on my application. Any ideas? (Manual is 45minutes away). /*----------- Thanks in advance... --------------------------------------+ | Peter C.
