Thanks to those folks that replied to my plea for help. I think I have fixed the problem. The printer set-up insisted on using 'bin 1' for the paper source. I selected 'tractor' instead, since I am using single-sheet paper and things seem to have calmed down considerably. The printer is also very picky about the power up sequence of button pushing, ditto when adding new sheets in the middle of a doc. As a side note, I have observed that the Print Man seems to think my file is 120k in size, when in reality it is only 4k!! I know that the PrintMan creates a new file to work with from the one I have selected to print, but I wouldn't think it would enlarge the file THAT much! Anybody else seen this?
