Hi, Somebody recently posted a message indicated they were having problems running Lotus 3.0 under MS-Windows 3.0 and asking the net for help. I did NOT keep the message (since I don't have EITHER Lotus 3.0 OR MS-Windows 3.0), and only noted the problem since I am planning on getting MS-Windows soon. However, while I am NOT sure, I do believe I have an indication that the answer to your problem is that it can NOT be done or at the very least there are problems. I got an announcement in the mail today from Lotus trying to get me to upgrade to 3.1 (NOT 3.0). The following two quotes are from the cover letter and glossy. I will let YOU read between the lines and apply it to your own situation: COVER LETTER: "And if you're a Windows 3.0 user, you'll be happy to know that Release 3.1 is not only fully compatible with DOS, but also with DOS with Windows 3.0." GLOSSY: "Compatibility 1-2-3 Release 3.1 supports all three operating modes of Windows 3.0." Frank frank@odetics.com

>COVER LETTER: >"And if you're a Windows 3.0 user, you'll be happy to know that Release 3.1 >is not only fully compatible with DOS, but also with DOS with Windows 3.0." Its true. Just tried this today. It runs full screen only for some reason. No other advantage over version 3.0 was noticed. The startup screen is nice and colorful, making me expect nice things (ie. Windows interface or mouse support or pull down menus). No such luck. Just plain old ugly Lotus. Haven't figured out how to give it more than 640K though. Used the PIF file that came with it (dragged it from FileMan to ProgMan). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iskandar Taib | The only thing worse than Peach ala Internet: NTAIB@AQUA.UCS.INDIANA.EDU | Frog is Frog ala Peach Bitnet: NTAIB@IUBACS !
