Yeah I would agree, since the culprit is spreading this drivel about delivering his own head! Would make for an interesting event! Unless someone up at decwrl is using his liginname or somebody hacked up the news on the way out the door. Peter Barada ima!pbear!peterb ihnp4!inmet!pbear!peterb

Keep those points coming, folks! I almost > have enough saved up for a color TV! > > John ( what's so funny, huh ) Williams Can sombody please explain to me just what the "DEC Engineering Network" is, and who has access to it? Two recent articles posted to net.general, 1873@decwrl.UUCP and 1868@decwrl.UUCP (quoted above) make me wonder just what is going on there. In addition, a few weeks ago there was the "Dr. VAX" garbage on net.micro.apple posted annonymously (from what appeared to be various open guest accounts) from a DEC E.N. machine (dec-rhea?). In that series of articles, someone made a number of highly obnoxious and quite probably libelous postings directing personal attacks against the owner of a small software firm and his product. The tone of these various postings makes me suspect that the DEC E.N. is run like so many of the public bboard systems, where people post whatever all sorts of outrageous stuff with no worry about the cost or the consequences. Since various of my attempts to contact responsible people on DEC E.N. machines by mail have failed, I'm asking publicly. Can somebody please tell me what is going on there? -- allegra!phri!roy (Roy Smith) System Administrator, Public Health Research Institute
