[comp.windows.ms] Windows 3.0 Write

lintw@mentor.cc.purdue.edu (Tad) (10/24/90)

Does anybody out there have the format for files that are used
by the Write program in Microsoft Windows? (all files
that have the extenstion *.wri )

I plan to write a spell checker for *.wri files.

I suspect its a subset of the Word file format. Without
some of the more sophisticated formatting options. Write
can read and write Word files, it seems. MS has ported
Write over to the Mac by the way...

It's documented in the SDK Update for version 2, and I assume it hasn't changed.
