Finally!! I have found a true old car lover. I was going to write an article
just like yours when your article cought my eye.

I have an original 1969 Camaro Rally-Sport with the rare not available SS 350-
hood. It has a Crane stage 6 Cammander cam with anti-pump lifters. The lift on
the cam is 536 and the dur. is 317. It is equipted with a turbo 400 trans,
3.73:1 positive traction rear. The trans has a 3000 stall speed converter. The
heads are double spring single retainer single oil unbrella fulie 64 cc chamber
heads. The pistons are TRW Forged Racing 10.5:1 compression pistons. ( by the way from my personal experience I have found flat top pistons to be most power-
ful for the street... at least on sm. block Chevy's). the rods have been shot
piened for added strength and the crank has been polished. It has Cragar SST
rims. Firestone tires the rear ones being a set with a 14 inch footprint. The
exhaust fired through 2 inch inner port hooker headers and funneled out the back
through hush-thrush mufflers. My car has the optional tilt steering wheel with
the factory special steering box. (That meaning to get the wheels locked to
one side all you have to do is turn the steering wheel appox. 1-1.25 turns
opposed to the normal steering box which takes 2-2.5).

The car is painted Cranberry Red with black Z-28 stripes. I estimate 400-500
hp.

Please write back and tell us about your performance cars!!
