[comp.windows.ms] ATI 256 drivers here! Elvis sighted

I have the Orchid ProDesigner II with appropriate drivers, and although I've
never experienced a compatibility or memory problem with the driver, it too
is very slow in 1024x768x256. So slow in fact that it makes it impossible
to use something like WinComm in high-res with a readable font. Hearing you
mention that the ATI was also slow makes me wonder if the slowness is caused
by the hardware or is related to the driver. Obviously I would be VERY
curious to know if there is a way to speed up scrolling, etc. in the
1024x768x256 mode. Anyone?

Thanks for your time!
