I used the shareware package that lets you change your cursor to Calvin & Hobbes characters, but now i want it to stop! It keeps running at startup with the name @#$%^&. I want my old arrow back! Sounds like you should take a look at your \windows\win.ini with a text editor
(TEXT please, nothing like WordPervert) and remove cursor change program from
the load= (or the other one, what was that ? start= ?) line.
This will stop it from getting loaded every time when Win3 starts.

Curse modifies your win.ini file without telling you. This is a very bad thing I must say. The only thing to do is removing "Curse" from the line "run=Curse" in the win.ini file. Next step: Throw Curse.exe away. Oliver Fritz, University of Basel, Switzerland

>Author: [Jeff Sullivan] >I used the shareware package that lets you change your cursor to >Calvin & Hobbes characters, but now i want it to stop! ------BACKUP WIN.INI FIRST------ Use NOTEPAD to open your WIN.INI file. Look for the line which says load=xxx yyy zzz (xxx yyy zzz will be program names; there may be any number of them...) The word "curse" will be on this line somewhere. Delete that word, save the new WIN.INI, and restart Windows. Voila! Personally, I like my C&H cursors. ----------------------------------------------------- Gordon S.
