[comp.windows.ms] Is Windows XT-hd compatible?

sophist@brainiac.raidernet.com (Phillip McReynolds) (11/04/90)

I'm currently using my old XT (8-bit) Seagate ST11 hard drive controller
to run my ST238R on my 386sx. As a result, I have to tell my CMOS that
there are no hard disks on my system at all. Now, I understand that
Windows (in protected mode) plays some tricks with the hard drive.
Given these considerations, would I be able to run Windows on my current
system?
