[comp.windows.ms] Creating PostScript files in Windows 3.0

jset_cif@troi.cc.rochester.edu (Jeff Setzer) (11/05/90)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a PostScript file in Windows 3 applications (WFW2.1 and
PageMaker 3.1 to be specific) but I'm not having any luck. I don't have
a PostScript printer connected to my machine, so the thing won't let me
print (it's greyed in the menu). Any ideas?

I print postscript to files by setting up the Postscript printer on FILE: (
this can be done by setting up printers in the control panel). Then each
time you print in a application, windows prompts you for filename. I
have done this using Ami Pro and other software with no problems. I then
upload the PS file to the campus unix host and print it out on a QMS printer.
BTW, a new version of the postscript drivers is available on cica.cica.indiana.
