I am trying to install PC-NFS and Lifeline on a PC that is running MS-Windows3. I've got the virtual disks mounting okay, printing is okay, so now I am moving on to LifeLine. I installed Lifeline and it seemed to be working okay, so I then created a network shared White-Pages. I used llconf to configure the White-Pages and then went into mail to try it out. No problem so far except that while reading mail the subject line is displayed in an unreadable white on yellow. I sent a message and then the system locked up. After rebooting, any attempt to run mail under the DOS Prompt window results in windows crashing and throwing me back to the Dos prompt. I tried to do a couple of exits in case I was in a shell, but no such luck. At this point, if I restart windows any attempt to open the dos prompt window says "file cannot be found:check the execution path" or something like that. If I exit windows and try to run mail from the outer dos prompt, it comes back with "sharing violation:abort, retry or fail?". If I reboot then windows starts working again, but any attempt to run mail from the dos prompt window just crashes windows again. So, what do I do to get mail to work, to change the awful white on yellow color scheme and can I suppress the mono or color prompt at the begining of the PC-NFS programs? -- Brian Utterback, Millipore Corporation, 75G Wiggins Ave., Bedford Ma. 01730 Work:617-275-9200x8245, Home:603-891-2536 INTERNET:: blu@millipore.millipore.com UUCP:: {samsung,cg-atla,merk,wang,bu-tyng}!millipore!blu
