Hi, This problem happen to me recently, maybe someone can help me out. When I use WinQVT or use Procomm (running as non-Window application) or even Terminal, any communication program inside Windows, the machine will sooner or later reboot itself. It didn't happen to me before, now it happened. I heard someone mention about a virus which reboots the PC at arbitrary time before. I wonder if this has happened to anyone in the netland, if so, what is the reason behind this problem. Thanks in advance. My machine is Zenith 248-12, with Zoom 2400baud modem using COM3, I used scanv67 and failed to find any virus. --Eric (fong@ksuvax1.cis.ksu.edu)

Whenever I use just about any decent terminal program made for Windows 3.0, I get reboot problems. When the remote system sends a clear-screen code (I think that's what is doing it), my system cold boots. I've tried just about every terminal program I can find available and they all do the same thing. Needless to say this is incredibly aggravating. However, Kermit 3.0 works fine. Still, I would rather use a terminal program built for Windows. Heres my hardware specs: Clone 386SX-16 with AMI Bios 4 Meg RAM 9600 Baud modem on COM2 I'm running Windows under 386 enhanced mode. Please help me...thanks in advance...I really hope this isn't a hardware problem. --James Gurganus (gurganus@en.ecn.purdue.edu)
