I had a 1964 Austin Healey Sprite transmission linkage freeze up on a very hot day after driving a long distance at high speeds. I thought I had serious problems and stopped at the closest garage. IA mechanic opened up the top of the transmission and added STP oil treatment and ATF to this 4-speed stick shift. It worked great after that.
