Again, specifics would be very helpful here. In what way is it slow, and compared to what product? In what way is it "clumsy"? One thing I would like to point out is that is that Windows Express is primarily intended as a corporate menuing system. Menus (called "master folders" in the Express vernacular) are created and maintained by a system administrator. Master folders can reside on a server -- Express is designed to be compatible with any network. In fact, a master folder can be modified by an administrator even if it is currently opened by one or more users. However, even though Express is intended for corporate use, we have thousands of individual users who prefer it over other shells -- including Program Manager -- for a variety of reasons. If it did not meet your expectations, I would like to know why. Michael Roper Product Lead, Windows Express hDC Computer Corporation

It seems to be more of a problem with Windows 3.0 and 286 based machines when running in standard mode. A recent article in InfoWorld was having problems running benchmark programs. Apparantly, the machine would lock up when exiting or starting the routines. I personally have had no problems running hdc express. +--------------------------------------------------------------+ | Mark J. We've been using Express on about 6-7 machines around the office and have never experienced any bugs. We've even used it with dozens of Windows apps. - Jeff -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jeff Gosztyla North Carolina State University ------------------------------------------------------------------------
