Hi all, I'm looking for a cardfile program. The one that comes with Windows 3.0 just does not do the kinds of things that I need to do. The one that comes with Asymetrix's Toolbook (Daybook) does what I want for the most part but it is incredibly slow AND I have to have toolbook loaded which is a total pain in tha a** -- it's so slow. I'm also looking for an intelligent appointment scheduler. i tried ALMANAC but it doesn't permit me to enter times into the scheduler and have an alarm associated with the entry. I have a series of regular appointments that I like to remind myself of and therefore need to have something that runs under windows that allows me to set dates and times and have alarms associated with these entries. I would like to use the form " Every Wednesday at 11:45 do ...." or "Every Tuesday and Thrusday at 4:45 do ..." and even " the first (second, third, fourth etc) Monday (...) every month". Can anyone help?????? Thanks in advance. Kevin -- Kevin "auric" Crocker Athabasca University UUCP: ...!{alberta,ncc}!atha!kevinc Inet: kevinc@cs.AthabascaU.CA

It sounds as though you want a Windows-based PIM (Personal Information Manager). The most recent issue of PC Magazine reviews four of these. The two that stood out as being the best were Polaris PackRat and IBM Current. I too am interested in this type of software and am now simply trying to decide which of these two programs is more suited to my needs. <=- Hubert
