I have discovered a minor conflict between Windows 3 and HDC first apps upgrade for windows 3. I am running a Compaq SLT286, 1.6 MB ram, 40 Mb hd nothing really fancy but I Like it. I have been very pleased with windows and its functions in my machine. I have discovered however, a small bug in what must be HDC's upgrade. If you run HDC's desktop, primarily to take advantage of the screen saver, it causes Cardfile to act decidedly wierd. If you have selected a background for HDC's desktop, the thing Windows calls wall paper, card file will load and run but any .crd file loaded will show no cards until you click on File again. The card file window blinks and just sits there, blinking occasionally. I narrowed the problem down to HDC's desktop by off loading EVERYTHING else and then adding them back one at a time. Each different trial I had only one thing running. The cardfile problem went away until I realoaded HDC's Desktop so I offloaded everything but that one. Problem appeared again, so I disabled each of the functions of desktop and discovered that the problem is related only to HDC's Bacgroound, or wallpaper, function. -- * suned1!lev@elroy.JPL.Nasa.Gov sun!suntzu!suned1!lev . lev@suned1.nswses.navy.mil + . + * S.T.A.R.S.!
