Ok. Here's the problem. In the computer lab where I work, a lot of users have come in lately, trying to grab (using grab.com from WordPerfect 5.1) some graphs from excel (I forget the version. I only know it runs under windows 2.11 (or earlier). Now what happens, when they invoke grab, is first of all, when grab writes to the disk, the screen goes absolutely nuts (looks like a lost sync). The, when you retrieve the grabbed image into WP, it is not a black on white (like it looks on the screen of excel), but it is black on gray. Needless to say most of them are annoyed at this to say the least. I checked, and it has nothing to do with the gray-scaling factor in the figure edit menu. Does anyone know, how to make it come up black on white? Not gray on black? Does what I exlpained make any sense in the first place? We are using PS/2 50's, if it makes a difference, and we are running the software off of a Novell network. If I forgot some info, ask. I would really try to find out what is going on. (I suspect it has something to do with the way windows handles its color palettes, but can't figure out a way around that. Thanks in advance for any helpful hints. -- Jan Vilhuber | Internet: jvilhube@du.edu or jvilhube@[130.253.1.4] (The jammin' Bass) | Bitnet : jvilhube@DUCAIR -------------------------------------------------- "Drunken Milkman...driving drunk...Family of four, family no more...milk and blood...blood and milk." Just a thought - this monitor going crazy and weird colors sounds like the software is trying to go into a video mode that isn't supported (trying to do VGA on an EGA, or 800x600 on a monitor that can only handle VGA). Doug.
