[comp.windows.ms] Logitech bus mouse!

To Logitech bus mouse owners:

Did you know:
You can use the MIDDLE button in windows! There is a program called
Whiskers. It's a nice program that allows you to use the middle button
by assigning it to one of many keys or even a double click!

BUT!!!!!!:
The logitech bus mouse will not work with it! Because the mouse
driver with windows does not know what a three button mouse is.

SO, No problem:
I'll just download it from Logitech's BBS! ** WRONG! **

The Question:
If you knew how good MS-Windows is selling and given you had no ethics,
why not suck money out of your customers by charging them for the driver!
Yeah, we'll throw in new versions of our DOS drivers and tell the stupid
customers how hard it is to install the windows drivers without a printed
manual. That way, they'll think they're getting a buy!

This is what they did:
There Version 5.0 package has the driver for windows for only *$19.00!*
Once I heard that, I told them where to put it! Then after an hour on the
phone telling them I know how to install the driver and that I don't need
a manual to operate a damn mouse, I got hold of customer relations. FINALLY,
the customer relations woman gave in! She told me that it was _VERY_
difficult to install! Lets be for real, how hard is a mouse.driver to
install! And if it is hard to install, it should be reworked!

I paid enough for this mouse. I'll be dammed if they're gonna suck money
out of me for a driver that they should be giving away free!

As far as it goes, without that driver, their mouse is a two button mouse..
and there is no reason to buy their product!

If you want to get the driver so that you can use the middle button of you
mouse, there number is 415-795-8100. Ask for customer relations.
