I am glad to see there is another "full size" truck owner out there.
I've got a CHEVY 1975 4X4 HD 1/2 ton (Heavy Duty Emissions). I've been
rebuilding since I bought it in '75. It has a RANCHO 3 1/2in lift kit
with Armstrong Norsman II's, 350 4bbl with headers and dual exhausts. Off
the line its pretty quick, but down hill from there (lots of low end
torque). Last time I checked the top end it was about 75mph. I've also
rebuilt the stock Quadrajet, and the Turbo 350 (Rebuilt with Borg
Warner Parts, a shift kit and installed a 400 torque converter). Haven't
touched the engine yet, it has 110,000 miles on it and still running strong.
This vechile has not had an easy life, it's been 4-wheeling every where,
including on the end of a tow hook. I also use the truck to plow snow
which makes the truck self supporting. The best thing about owning
a full size truck is we get to look down on all those other four wheelers.

Lets here some more about trucks...
