A while back a couple of people complained about the fact that there was no 256 color driver for the genoa 6400 svga board. Then someone said that genoa had droped plans for manufacturing said driver. I then rather foolishly posted an article to this newsgroup blasting genoa for this. The next day I called genoa, and they said that what this person had claimed was not true. Furthermore, the individual I spoke to said that the driver would be "ready by comdex". I then, with my tail between my legs posted a retraction of my posting and mentioned to the net that the driver would be ready by comdex. Well, comdex has come and gone and I have logged onto genoa's bbs, and guess what, there is no driver on the board. About three days ago I called to find out what is cutting with the driver. However, this time I did not get to speak to a human. I left a message on the voice mail system, and I have not heard anything since. Genoa's customer service departments number is: 1 (800) 423-6211, and their bbs' number is 1 (408) 943-1231. Try calling them and see if you have more luck than I have had. If you do, please mail me or if it is relevant to everyone post it. I am truly pissed of with this companies customer service!
