We are having various problems running windows on a non-dedicated Novell ELS II server. 1) We have a Panasonic Laser printer 4420 attached as PRINTQ_0 and it is defined with PRINTCON to not print banners. However, when we print from a windows application (say Excel) we get a banner that says where the job came from, etc. and LST: then NETWARE. Where does this come from, and how can we stop it. 2) A related problem is that these print jobs are impossibly slow (several minutes per page). This seems to be alleviated if Excel and windows are exited. Not really a good solution. 3) Is there any way to use HIMEM.SYS in the CONFIG.SYS of the DOS boot disk without Netware complaining that it requires at least 1024K of extended memory to run (we have 4MB memory on this '386 clone) Thanks in advance for any help.
