A few weeks ago I posted a request for a Genoa5300 Driver for windows3, to be able to install it in 512x512x256 mode,, corresponding to mode 7d of my vga. In cica.cica.indiana.edu there are three SDL files but the one which could be useful to me is not there. The SDL file no. 7 contains the gendrv.exe that seemsto be a tool for making your own drivers. I just got off the phone with genoa about a driver for windows 3, and the feeling i got was there was not going to be one. They did tell me that if i send in my 5400 plus $75. dollers i would be upgraded to a 6400 board, for which drivers are made. I had a company give me a Genoa 6400 to try out and it would not work in any machine I tried with a bus speed in excess of 8MHz. Be carefull! Make sure you try before you buy........ There are drivers for the Genoa 6400 on cica.cica.indiana.edu and I have used them with the Genoa 5400 no problems. I think the file is called genoadrv.zip in /pub/pc/win3/video Cheers.
