I had become accustomed to the "Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail" options encountered in DOS when accessing troublesome sectors. Under Win3 you get the rather uninformative and terse "Abort Retry" buttons. Neither is acceptible, but I prefer the DOS options to the Win3 options. At least with the 'ignore' option the process will skip over the bad sectors and try to get to the rest (sometimes that's all I want). Is there a public domain 'file manager' which handles DOS errors gracefully? While I am asking, does this replacement 'file manager' provide 'help' (e.g. "bad sector" "general read error" "general write error" etc.)? thanks in advance, barry ps post to USENET or directly to USERE9W9@RPITSMTS, or, Barry_Floyd@mts.rpi.edu.
