-------- [] Mr. Dan says: > 2] any 88-89 octane regular leaded fuel and a small amount of > labratory grade napthalene. > >You know, labratory grade, pure napthalene. The stuff labeled >"Moth Balls" at your local store. 3 balls/gallon, I kid you not. Moth balls are not napthalene, they are paradichlorobenzene. At least they used to be. But they probably work anyway. Here's another recipe: 1) in a well ventilated area (a hood works well), add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to 2 oz. methanol (wood alcohol). Mix well. 2) Add this to 4 oz. of toluene (this is the main ingredient of many commercial octane boosters). Mix well. Store in a clean, tightly capped container. It keeps for a few months. 3) Use one tablespoon per tank (12gal or so) (not a misprint, 1 tbsp.). This has been used successfully by at least one person (who is not me). Best of luck. Please understand that this is offered without warrantee. Have a leaded premium day.
