Well, I was hoping that this problem was going to be addressed by the release of Microsoft's disks 'o drivers, but apparently not. Rather than fight my way through Windows Technical support, I'll ask my printer question here: I'm running Windows 3.0 on a '386 Dos machine with an Epson FX-85 printer hooked up to it. I can NOT get the Epson driver to work correctly with it. When I setup the printer and try to print something simple out from, say, Microsoft Word for Windows, the type comes out looking all wrong: 12 point type looks like 8 point type bold. In addition, the printer driver is giving all sorts of weird margin information to WFW -- Although the specified margin lines sit about 1" in from the edges of the page, WfW acts like the margins are really about 2", compressing everything in. This isn't a problem with WfW or my computer: the Postscript driver works A-OK and I've never had any problems with it. My old Windows 2.2 driver worked fine when I was running the old version. It was only when I upgraded to 3.0 that everything went wacky. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do to fix it easily? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Vick | "Stands to reason? What a silly expression.
