I have an HP QuietJet+ and there is no printer driver available with Windows 3.0 for the QuietJet. I've been using the ThinkJet driver that comes with Windows, but it does strange horizontal shifts as it prints down the page. Is there a good solution out there for QuietJet owners with Windows?

Ha! Nothing personal, Reed, but seeing that you work for HP, the phrase "HP, heal thyself" comes to mind... We have quite a lot of Quietjet printers in our organisation, and it was a big bone of contention when the PC support people realised that the Thinkjet driver didn't work with the Quietjet under Windows 3.0, and both Microsoft and HP stated that there was no intention to supply a W3 Quietjet driver. It got pretty acrimonious between Shell and HP Netherlands for a while, I understand. Finally, the PC support people got hold of the SoftStyle Quietjet driver for Windows 2.11 that had been patched for W3, and that solved the problem. I don't know whether that was supplied by HP, or whether they got it from elsewhere, but it took a *lot* of screaming on our part before a solution was found. Geoff Coupe geoff%epd74hp@nluug.nl
