I am about to purchase a new VW Quantum wagon. Am I making a mistake? I had a '76 VW Dasher, got rid of it in 82 with 160 K miles. I loved it, Quantum seems to be the same car. Dealers say they discount it but will only give price when I'm ready to talk turkey. Any hints on bargaining? The car with a load of standard options plus radio and roof rack is about 12,500. Can I get anything similiar for the same $? Thanks in advance.
